Requirements for appointment
- Be a Kenyan citizen;
- Be a holder of a Diploma in Social Psychology, Psychology and Counseling or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institutioni
- Must have at least three (3) years of relevant work experience
- Ability to keep confidentiality of clients’ information;
- Ability to empathize with clients;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Membership to a relevant professional body and
- A Certificate in computer applications
Duties and responsibilities
- Developing and implementing policies pertaining to counseling Psychology services;
- Planning and coordinating counseling programs in the department;
- Conducting both individual and group counseling;
- Promoting ethics in the county public service;
- Keeping appropriate records including reports for activities undertaken;
- Diagnosing and treating various mental, emotional and behavioral disorders;
- Guiding and counseling patients, clients and staff on social, psychological or other related health issues and
- Any other duty that may be assigned by the supervisor.
